As a hardcore video gamer, I have witnessed many games featuring, or even starring famous music groups.

Aerosmith was featured in the shooting game Revolution X in which they were held captive by the government in a war against youth culture. Your mission was to rescue them, their music looped while you play, and at the end, pixellized versions of them would play a song.
Here's a few Videos of the endings:

http://www.geocities.com/gonzaloc80/eatrx.swf
http://www.geocities.com/gonzaloc80/duderx.swf

to name a few more:
Coolio, Queen Latifa and other rappers (RapJam, a basketball game?)
Sum41, Uncle Kracker, Felix da Housecat (Playboy: the Mansion)
Wu-Tang Clan (Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style Duhhh)
and many many more.

If a big time video game company decided to make a game starring Psychostick, what genre of game would you want it to be, and what would you like to see happen in the game? the possibilities are endless!

Here's a few more games featuring bands:

~"Crueball", a pinball game made featuring songs and graphics of Motley Crue.
~"Moonwalker" of course featuring Michael Jackson.
~"Journey".. the title says it all.
~"Kiss: Psycho Circus - The Nightmare Child." a shooter realeased on Dreamcast back in 2000.
~"Beavis and Butthead" making it to the GWAR concert is the main objective of the game. Now that I actually listen to them, I wish I hadn't sucked so much at that game, lol
~"Blues Brothers" need I say more?

I'm sure theres more out there.

I could imagine a first person shooter level, having to shoot off psycho bitches. or a grand theft auto level driving the two ton paperweight. gotta try to outrun the cops in a piece of shit car that won't go nowhere. hahaha!

I imagine a game where you chase a dragon through the gumdrop forest while shooting up video game heroine, but you never catch the dragon.......just keep chasing it.

Music in video games usually points towards the mass of rap/crap fans. I heard static-x in a couple of Need for Speed games and slipknot was in the 3rd atv off road fury as the opening song.

ROFL Dreamcast ahaha.. I had one for like a month and sold it to a friend for 5$ because it sounded like a diesel going up a hill. They stopped making them after like 2 months or some shit didnt they?

KoRn just made a song expecially for the game Haze. It actually sounds alot better then the last few peices of crap albums they have put out.

I still have a Dreamcast. I actually thought it was a decent system, aside from the total lack of games for it. I still would love to get a copy of Shenmue. No matter how much people talk shit about that game, I still think it was pretty awesome. It's the only game that I know of that lets you waste money collecting little store-front capsule toys, lol. It didn't really last long though. I think it got pushed out of the way when PS2 and X-Box came out. i don't remember exactly when it was released in the first place.

It seems like a lot of groups make crappy albums every now and then to make another sound a lot better in comparison, at least in my opinion. I can't really name any off the top of my head, but I do remember a few CD's I've bought where I just never felt the urge to listen to it after the initial run-through. Then the next one I just kept on repeat over and over again. Rather the hit or miss industry, i'd say.

yeah but the fact that it was open source, had beautiful graphics and was already net ready without any tweaks or extra hardware that needed to be purchased made it wonderful, it ran emulators with little to no effort. I'd say it was the second best system ever made because of its lack of games. What is the best console you might ask??

Representin the SNES fool! The last system that actually featured games with extensive story-lines.

SNES rules!!! I still have one, and I hook it up from time to time. What is the best game you might ask in return??

SECRET OF MOTHERPLUH-KIN' MANA!!!

I would have to say Chrono Trigger but it's got the same main character sprite.

It indeed is a similar game. But I can still play SoM with the fun I had when my mother (RIP :() rented it for the first time.

That game was too cutesy for me, I mean I liked it but it wasn't memorable. Now Chrono Trigger, that game was dark, and every time you play you discover something new.

Seiken Densetsu 3 was better then Secret Of Mana. Download the rom and find out for yourself. As for the best games on SNES you would have to choose Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario All Stars, Super Metroid and probably The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past.

Don't forget Earthbound though, that game was awesome.

Ok, with multiple options I would go with Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Final Fantasy 4. Attention to Avatar. But the most beautiful game that lost it's luster about halfway through would be Illusion of Gaia.

How could I forget the Legend of Zelda *smacks head repeatedly with a frying pan*. I've played almost every Zelda game, but A Link To The Past is the best Zeldagame yet.

Illusion of Gaia was a nice game... Won't be in my fav list, but it was a good game :)

oh HELL yeah!! I fuckin loved Earthbound! a bit kidsy, but it was fun. They need to make more games that you can mess with the words they use. Me and my brother always enjoyed writing in obscene things for the favorite food "Ness, would you like some pussy?" lol

Final Fantasy 6 (or 3, for the american release) was the first RPG I actually played though. It got me totally hooked to the series. Still reigns supreme for having one of the best stories. Plus it had plenty of characters to use, which was fun. Shadow was my favorite, even though he only was playable slightly through the first half.

I think I played a little of the beginning of Secret of Mana, but back then, I sucked at games, and eventually my cousin ended up taking over and I just watched him play through it a while until we had to return it.

I wish that I still had a lot of the old consoles and games, so I could go through them and actually beat them, lol.

While we're on the subject of RPG's, here's a funny site about common grounds in said games:

Lol at that list. Alot of FF7 references.

EDIT: Also in FF7 if you call Red XII "Nanaki" when you name him you come up to some pretty funny convosations in Cosmo Canyon. Like "My name is not Nanaki! It is Nanaki!" and then everyone is all surprised and stuff. I actually laughed at that for an hour i think.

no, you want hilarity, you mentioned Fallout 2 in the other thread, create a character with an intelligence of like 1-3 in either game and there's some funny conversations.

Yeah, I've done that before..but I probably wouldn't do it again lol. I just went and bought the Fallout Collection for $15. When I started a new game of FO2 I just went straight down and got the Power Armour. Kinda sucks 'cause everything is easy now. New Reno is by far the best Fallout town ever made. Alot of fun shit to do there.

hells yeah, Getting your car stolen, becoming a boxer, a pornstar, cappin 3 **while sleeping with the wife and daughter of the final crime boss** crime families and bein made by the last.

Don't try to power level in that game though, it wipes out the shop inventories in San Francisco get wiped so I couldn't finish the game.

LOL! I could imagine that :D For my brother, he named Aerith "Shampoo". "Shampoo is the only one who can save the slums!" I sure would say so, hahaha!

I can't remember the last thing I laughed an hour over. probably the beating at the end of the movie "Deathproof". Fuckin hilarious!
