This is it!
We have finally done it!
Thanks to Rawrb's expert programming skills (aside from his sweet bow-staff skills) and my masterful systems injun-ear-ring knowledges, thedumb.org is now up and running in it's new and DRASTICALLY improved form. And guess what... WE HAVE MATERIALS TO PROMOTE WITH!!! Not only that, but we also have a tracking system that allows us to rank street team members based on levels. Here's how it all works:
1) If you haven't done this already, go to http://thedumb.org/join.php and fill out the form to officially join the street team.
2) After you have signed up and are all official like, go to the home page and log in. If you have already signed up but haven't logged in in a while, do so now and update your info-mashun, because you can do that now!
3) Go to the promo materials page @ http://www.thedumb.org/materials.php and choose your weapon, err... download the promotional material of your preference. Right now there's a couple of flyers and some links, but I'll be adding things as I can.
4) If you downloaded a flyer, print it out (doesn't have to be in color) and hand them out. For tips on how to do that, view the "how to" video @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UryFBTA3lAo
5) GO PROMOTE!!!!
6) Get proof of your promotion. If you're handing out flyers, take pictures of you handing out the flyers. You can also put your street teamer number on the flyers (located on your street team profile). The point is, getting hard proof of your promotion is what the street team point system is based on. So how do you get points?
7)You can post your pictures on http://www.thedumb.org/photos.php. For each picture that you post, I will review and give you points based on the quality of the promo. If you are posting stuff online, send me the links (psychostickstreetteam@gmail.com) and I will award points. If you are putting your street teamer number on the flyers and somebody brings that flyer to a show and presents it to the band, I will be GENEROUS with giving you points. The points will be awarded something like this:
~0.5 pts per link
~1 pt per picture
~10+ pts per redeemed flyer
Keep in mind that it's all about the quality of the promotion (size, vigor, to whom). I'm not likely to give you a whole lot of points if you take pictures of you handing out flyers to your parents, aunts, uncles, grandma, etc, basically any person that obviously won't be into the band.
What's in it for you? Psychostick has been organizing ways to reward the hard working street teamers out there for a long time now. Benefits can include and are not limited to:
* Original TheDumb merch
* Free Psychostick schwag
* Free access to Psychostick concerts
* Backstage access to Psychostick concerts
* First look/listen to new Psychostick media
* Much more!
But the only way to get these benefits is to promote and PROVE YOUR PROMOTING PROWESS! I'm not going to give you free shit just because you told me you could hand out 101341234938142394 flyers to your friends. It's all talk without the proof.
For the next level I have available Psychostick business cards. I will send these cards to street teamers that achieve the first rank, Dumb Second Lieutenant, which can be reached by accumulating 30 street teamer points.
